25 days. I can't believe it's that close. Yet it still seems like such a long way off! And, sadly, I already had to say my first goodbye! :( Here's a picture (since I have forgotten to post anything other than words on my last how many blogs!):
So, I feel like recapping how I met these two, because it's pretty crazy! In February of last year, my dad's cousin, Tom Begich, came down from Alaska to Minnesota to do a few shows with Bill. Both of them are singer/songwriters. So, I went to the show in Superior, WI because I was at college in Duluth (actually, I almost didn't show because my friend who said she was going to go with me decided not to at the last minute, and I'm usually not someone to do things alone!) Anyway, so I went and was introduced to Bill and his wife, Kate. The next night they were in the cities and I had to bring my friend down there anyway, so I went again and met up with my mom, dad, and sister at that show. My mom videotaped and took pictures, so I put them on a dvd and Bill came to UMD to get the dvd. As he was leaving, he asked if I would ever want to sell cds and take money for him at his shows. And I said I would! So, that's how this all started! :-D I'm now VERY glad that I went to that show by myself because otherwise I would not have met these two wonderful, talented people. I have been so blessed to have gotten to know them and to have them in my life for the past year and a half and am going to miss them so much!
Sonshine was awhile back now (I don't think I've posted about that yet)! It was fun, a little crazy with the people in the tents surrounding us, but fun. I had the opportunity to meet one of my teammates, Sarah, which was really nice! So, at least there will be one familiar face when I get to training camp! My mom and I went and brought two kids from our church and one of their friends.
This is my "little brother", Jesse, one of the two we brought with us from our church. I grew up with one older sister, so it was interesting having a brother for the weekend (as you can probably tell from the picture!)
Other than that, I am just working right now, so not too much has changed. My support status is still the same as my last update. I think that's about it for now! :-D
